Case Summary

Darius Naffis, a physician, sued George Tzavaras for damages arising from their professional and business relationship. The trial court granted Tzavaras partial summary judgment. The Court of Appeals of Georgia reversed, concluding that the claims could not be resolved in Tzavaras’s favor on the legal grounds relied on by the trial court. Naffis separately challenged the consideration of an affidavit and accompanying documents, but the appellate court did not reach that evidentiary issue because its other holdings required reversal. The judgment was reversed without a separate ruling on the affidavit’s admissibility.
