Case Summary
Shane Hinkson was convicted of felony murder predicated on aggravated assault in the death of his eight-month-old son. He challenged the sufficiency of the evidence and several evidentiary rulings. The Georgia Supreme Court affirmed. The court held that the evidence supported the conviction and that any evidentiary error was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt because the evidence was cumulative of other proof and the properly admitted evidence was strong. The judgment and sentence therefore remained in place.
