In The Interest Of H. H., Et Al., Children (Father)
The father of two children appealed a juvenile-court order finding them dependent and placing them in the custody of the county child-services agency. He challenged the verification and specificity of the dependency petition, the sufficiency of the evidence, several evidentiary rulings, and the alleged denial of due process. The Court of Appeals of Georgia held that the dependency findings themselves were supported, but the petition had not been properly verified. It vacated that portion of the order and remanded with direction that the petition be verified through amendment. The court affirmed the finding of dependency as to both children and declined to disturb the remaining rulings.
