Case Summary
Nashea Poole was convicted of felony murder and related offenses arising from crimes against Jordan and Chad Collins. She challenged the sufficiency of the evidence and other trial rulings after a joint trial in which the jury acquitted the defendants of malice murder but convicted them of felony murder, aggravated assault, and a gang-related offense. The Supreme Court of Georgia affirmed. It held that the circumstantial evidence and reasonable inferences authorized the jury to find Poole guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and to exclude other reasonable hypotheses. The Court left the convictions and sentences intact.
